Sometimes in life you get lucky and get exactly what you have dreamed of and hoped for! We at Walnut Hill got to experience that this year with the completion of our modern Open Air Chapel ceremony site. We have been discussing the possibility of creating this since before we opened and late in 2021 all the stars aligned for us to start the construction on this dream ceremony site of ours.
We always had a vision in our minds that this site could potentially be the gem of our property and help complete the vision of what we wanted to see Walnut Hill become. Now that construction has completed in early 2022, we must admit we feel that the beauty has surpassed even our wildest dreams and expectations. We recently hosted a shootout with Adorn Collective and photographer’s all over Raleigh came out to capture the beauty of this space. Photographer Arika Jordan captured some truly magical moments.
We truly believe that it is a one-of-a-kind site that will take your breath away. This is the perfect place to say I Do! With grand views of our lake, this unique ceremony location is unlike any other in Raleigh! With the exceptionally unique design, this site combines the feeling of being in a classic white chapel with modern elements such as our side windows and front door that gives the bride the entrance and walk down the aisle that every little girl dreams of growing up. When the couple is together at the end of the aisle on the edge of our majestic lake, they will have the feeling of being in a magical paradise with the capacity for up to 200 of their closest friends and family members watching them begin their love story together. The feeling of perfect serenity this site provides will be incredible for couples to have that sense of calm that we all need when saying their vows and starting that journey with their significant other.
Like all great accomplishments in life that truly matter, the construction of this site did not come without its struggles and challenges that we needed to overcome. We had such a precise vision for this site that meant so much to us, so we did not want to settle for anything less than perfect for our couples to get to experience. The construction process may have taken longer than originally anticipated and came with more stress than we originally thought, but the end product was totally and completely 100% worth it. It was a true labor of love for everyone involved. Our lead contractor on the project, Brad, got to experience the birth of his first daughter just a few days after the completion of construction. He said to us that it would be so special for him to be able to walk his daughter down the aisle on her future wedding day at the site he spent countless hours pouring his heart and soul into. These are the heartwarming and meaningful life-lasting memories we hope this site will provide not only to Brad but countless of our future couples. We cannot thank everyone enough that had a part in completing our dream and vision. We will be forever grateful, and we love you all more than you know. Now’s let get ready to say I Do and experience this slice of heaven together!
