The only thing more magical than getting to experience your dream wedding is getting to experience becoming a mother to a beautiful child. There is an inspirational quote that we love that says, “The most magical day of my life was the day I became a mother.” This is the reason why the Walnut Hill team was so excited to be able to host a Mommy & Me photo shoot in our white barn pavilion in the Spring of 2022! With our newly painted white walls the pavilion made the perfect back drop for photographer Annie Timmons to capture these special moments. As a family-owned wedding venue, we truly believe that there is nothing more important than family. We have been blessed to be able to have our dream wedding and now raise our family with two perfect(ish) children that bring us so much happiness (well at least most of the time). We consider ourselves so unbelievably lucky, so we try our best to make sure every couple we work with has their dream wedding to help lay the best foundation possible for their futures.
Our timeless white barn pavilion served as the perfect location to host this photo shoot and the white walls were allowed the beautiful floral creations by Mews Designs to truly stand out. The pavilion is spacious and gave our magnificent photographers plenty of room to create multiple backdrops to work their magic. This gave the mothers multiple beautiful options to choose from so they could end up with the photo gallery that they always hoped for. We were so lucky that it was a beautiful spring day, so the sunlight was able to shine through our sliding barn door wall. The whole day just had a feeling of happiness and gratitude. Just getting to see the smiles and laughter on all the mother’s and children’s faces throughout the day really reminded us of why we decided to open Walnut Hill.
Even though our white barn pavilion is primarily used for weddings it is so much fun for us to be able to host something a little different and special like this Mommy & Me photo shoot. In closing we wanted to share one last quote about what we think perfectly sums up how we feel about the importance of motherhood. Every mother is unique, and everyone’s experience is different, and we know that some days can be difficult. But we hope the following quote provides you all with some strength to know that you all are doing an amazing job and you are not alone in your journey as a mom… “The mother is a world of mystery. She loves; she sings; she reads; she loses her temper; she may be as peaceful as a summer evening or a whirlwind of fury. We were so happy to see so many wonderful mothers take advantage of this opportunity to get professional photos taken with their little ones. Life moves by so fast, so we feel it is so important to take time to capture these beautiful moments and times in our lives. We all know that moms do their best to capture daily life and memories on their iPhones, but sometimes it is worth it to treat yourself and get dressed up to get professional photos taken with your babies. We have no doubt that every mom that participated in this photo shoot will cherish these photos and will hold on to them forever. As kids grow up and go off to college and get married and have kids of their own it is important to have meaningful photos like these to look back on and remember the special bond you have always had with your children.
